Where it began
From a bar to a lodge.
Mbise began as the Tulivu Bar in Maji ya Chai, on the road between Arusha and Kilimanjaro.
Over the years it grew into a lodge of seventeen rooms around a paved courtyard and a walled garden, and the bar is still at the heart of it.
